Set on Paradise Island’s south shore, this waterfront resort overlooks the harbor and ocean inlet and welcomes singles, couples, and families; Nassau’s central Straw Market is 6 km (4 miles) away.

Comfort Suites Paradise Island offers 228 guestrooms in two pink buildings of up to four floors, with elevators available in four-floor sections. Best Western Bay View Suites in Bahamas

Hibiscus, bougainvillea, and other tropical plants brighten this relaxed, condo-style resort half a mile from both the Atlantis resort and white-sand Cabbage Beach.

The Best Western Bay View Suites offers 75 air-conditioned suites and villas in buildings set among tropical gardens. Villas are one-story white buildings, and suites are in two-story shingled buildings (no elevators). All suites and villas have private balconies or patios with garden views and outdoor dining sets. Barbecue grills and VCRs are available (surcharges). Televisions offer U.S. cable channels.

Three swimming pools and groups of villas and suites are linked by paths curving among tropical gardens of flowering hibiscus, bougainvillea, and coconut palms. The Best Western Bay View Suites has two coin-operated laundry facilities and a mini-market offering a limited selection of groceries and sundries. Barbecue grills are available for rent.

White sands and turquoise ocean waves are a 10-minute walk away at Cabbage Beach. Guests have access to a wide variety of amenities and a 24-hour casino at Atlantis Resort, half a mile away.

Atlantis Paradise Island Beach Tower in Bahamas

Part of the water-park and marine-life Atlantis resort on Paradise Island, which connects by bridge to Nassau, this 423-room tower at the tranquil east end of the resort lies close to 3 miles of beach.

The entire Atlantis Paradise Island resort offers 3,614 guestrooms. The Beach Tower, at the tranquil east end of the resort and offering the least expensive accommodations, has 423 guestrooms in a nine-story pink building with a lobby featuring pink-marble floors, pink ceilings, and garden atrium.

Guestrooms are smaller than those in the other towers. Beach Tower rooms include full balconies furnished with chairs and cocktail tables. Tropical decor includes pale-peach walls, light-colored furniture, and bright fabrics.

Fourteen exhibit lagoons are on site (lighted at night) covering 140 acres with 50,000 fish and sea creatures (200 species). Dolphin Cay contains nearly seven million gallons of sea water within three lagoons surrounded by a white sand beach.

In Coral Towers, a two-story library offers computers that provide 15 minutes of complimentary Internet access, daily. Wireless Internet access is available in all lobbies and pool areas for a daily fee. A complimentary shuttle between all resort towers is available.

Overlooking Nassau Harbour, this pastel-colored resort on Paradise Island provides complimentary shuttle service to Atlantis (500 yards away), with full access to all Atlantis facilities.

The resort offers 392 contemporary guest villas (all nonsmoking) in seven pastel-colored, four-story buildings with elevators near the Atlantis marina. Villas include fully equipped kitchenettes or kitchens, dining sets, jetted tubs, and entertainment centers with stereo DVD/CD players or VCRs. (Rental videotapes and DVDs available.) Ceiling fans complement air conditioning.
