    The resort offers 25 (all nonsmoking) guestrooms and suites in six, 1- and 2-story pastel buildings terraced down a tropical-garden hillside toward the Atlantic Ocean. Beds feature thick mattresses and featherbeds as well as white comforters. Balconies and ground-floor terraces include lounge chairs. Ceiling fans supplement air conditioning.     An intimate boutique resort designed by Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki, Pink Sands attracts an international clientele, including celebrities, by providing secluded, private accommodations on Harbour Island, an uncrowded beach, and romantic dining. The resort is set in a gently hilly 20-acre tropical forest and features dense gardens, fieldstone walls, and pebble-and-concrete paths.

Open-air seating beneath wood roof or on a sundeck with table umbrellas. Serving breakfast and lunch. Menu features conch salad and fritters, cracked conch, crab cakes, smoked-salmon tempura, lobster quiche, burgers, sandwiches, salads, pasta, and grilled fish.

    A sand path through sea grape-covered dunes leads to an east-facing, 3-mile beach of pinkish sand washed by the turquoise Atlantic. On the beach, resort guests are provided with thatched shades and lounge chairs. Use of snorkeling gear, kayaks, and boogie boards is complimentary. The resort’s swimming pool is bordered by trees and flower pots. Above the pool deck, a pavilion offers shaded relaxation.

    This Bahama resort offers 25 guestrooms in 18 cottages. Rooms have private terraces furnished with weathered-teak dining sets, cushioned lounge chairs, and umbrellas. Limestone-tile floors, white-canvas overstuffed chairs, and muted-tone, multi-colored bedspreads accent the monochromatic interior. Bathrooms feature decorative tiles.

    In addition to air-conditioning, rooms have louvered windows and ceiling fans. Beds feature dual-control electric blankets and two reading lights. Entertainment options include U.S. cable TV, VCRs, DVD players, and CD/cassette players. All rooms have a complimentary CD library, and complimentary video and DVD movies are available. Wet bars include compact refrigerators, which are stocked with drinks and snacks.

    Breakfast is served under shade trees on lavender-painted wood dining sets. Dinner is served inside amid the main building’s East Indian, Moroccan, and Balinese furnishings. Soft, amber lighting from candles and hanging metal fixtures. Signature dishes created daily by the chef.

    Three tennis courts are available for guests, including one illuminated for night play. The hotel provides complimentary kayaks, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards for use on the beach. The main building’s bar has a pool table. A 24-hour fitness center includes a stairmaster, treadmill, free-weights, and lifecycle, as well as showers and changing rooms.
